The Wilmington Truck Accident attorney, Frederick Freibott, has helped injury victims and families in Delaware deal with the painful consequences of a Auto Accident accident or wrongful death claims involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, nursing home abuse and neglect, uninsured motorist claims, dog bites, workplace injuries, and personal injuries.

Examples of some successful cases include, but are not limited to:

(1) The Freibott Law Firm was successful in prosecuting a case against Cottrell Truck Lines, Inc., a Connecticut trucking company when its truck driver, on April 6, 2000, caused a serious motor vehicle collision when he rear ended our client who was stopped for traffic.  The collision caused the death of our client.  A large settlement was achieved on behalf of the decedent’s two children.  Our firm was able to prove that the decedent suffered conscious pain and suffering after the collision during the next 14 days before he died.  Our firm was able to secure a very large settlement, just before trial was to begin, for the economic loss and the mental and emotional agony caused by the death in this case.  It is interesting to note that the trucking company, before the trial was to begin, conceded to the fact that their driver was at fault for the collision.  (Pierce v. Cottrell Truck Lines, Inc. CA No.  02C-04-052 CHT)

(2) The Freibott Law Firm was recently successful in obtaining a large settlement from a Pennsylvania trucking company. After taking depositions of the defendant truck driver, and an independent witness, we were able to allege that the defendant truck driver was negligent in wrongfully changing lanes causing the collision that injured our client.  The client severely injured her neck, which necessitated a cervical fusion. There were two mediations that occurred in this case.  At the first mediation, the defendant truck company offered no money to resolve the case as it was its belief that its driver was not at fault. At the second mediation, held several days before the scheduled jury trial, the defendant truck company agreed to the Plaintiff’s demand. The settlement resolved the Plaintiff’s claim for her pain and suffering, her outstanding medical expenses of approximately $150,000.00, and her lost wages in the approximate amount of $9,000.00.  (Redding v. Donnelly, et al, C.A. No. 09C-01-217 JRS)

(3) The Freibott Law Firm was successful in securing a large jury verdict in excess of $700,000.00 against the defendant bus company when it rear ended our client causing her serious personal injuries.  The collision caused our client to sustain a serious neck injury resulting in a fusion surgery to her neck. The bus company proceeded to trial after making an offer of $125,000.00 which was rejected by the Plaintiff, at our advice. After a two day trial, the jury returned a verdict in excess of $700,000.00 on behalf of our client and her husband.  The verdict consisted of an award for pain and suffering, outstanding medical expenses and loss of consortium damages on behalf of the non-injured husband.  (Parrish v. First Student Inc., C.A. No.: 01C-03-190 JOH)

(4) The Freibott Law Firm was able to secure a very large settlement on behalf of our client after a Nevada defendant trucking company and its driver caused serious injuries to our client.  The injuries consisted of a neck injury and a back injury necessitating surgery to both areas of her body.  The settlement consisted of an aware for our client’s pain and suffering, outstanding medical expenses, and future medical expenses.  The trucking company nearly tripled its offer on the Friday before the scheduled jury trial.  (Ridgaway v. U.S. Express Enterprises,  C.A. No.: 01C-02-089 JRS)

(5) The Freibott Law Firm was successful in securing a large settlement against a Maryland trucking company when its driver caused a serious collision on I 495 outside of Wilmington, DE.  The impact of the collision caused serious personal injuries to our client, which included a serious neck injury which resulted in a fusion surgery to the client.  The large settlement consisted of recoveries for pain and suffering, outstanding medical expenses, lost wages, and future medical expenses.  (Ward v. Bond Transfer Company, C.A. 03C-08-222 FSS)
